Hope Floats N.C.
Who Are We?
Our Mission
Cancer has affected all of us.  You may have a family member, friend or a co-worker who has battled the disease, or you may be battling it yourself.  Cancer not only does damage to the body but can leave permanent scars on its victims and their loved ones.

The mission of Hope Floats NC is to combine our passion for the sport of kayaking with our desire to raise awareness of cancer.  We paddle to honor those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and to fight back against the disease by participating in Relay for Life.  We paddle to give HOPE!
Being on the water offers peace and solitude.  It is a time to clear your mind and relieve the everyday stresses.  Kayaking can be enjoyed by people of all ages.  It provides a great form of exercise and sometimes offers hope when no other medicine will work.  Hope Floats NC is a diverse group of people with a common love for the sport of kayaking.

THANK YOU!
We would like to thank everyone who helped us to make our first year a success.  Thanks to some very generous sponsors and donors we were able to raise almost $12,000 for the American Cancer Society this year!  If you were not able to contribute to us during our tour but are still interested in making a donation, it isn't to late, every dollar counts and you can still make a contribution to show your support for our team.
We promise to have some pictures and video from the trip posted in the near future so keep coming back to look for new additions.
We are already planning our trip for next year and will reveal the date before the end of the summer.  We hope that all of you will keep following us and help us to make next year even bigger.
We also ask that you follow along with our friends the Castaways Against Cancer as they make their trip next month.
